1. The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Water and Sanitation Development Project-Conditional Liquidity Support Grant (CLSG) II, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply, Delivery and Installation of Smart and Single Jet Water Meters for Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company (ELDOWAS) Ltd.
2. The Water Sector Trust Fund (WaterFund) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply, Delivery and Installation of Water Meters as indicated in the table below.

3. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” dated July 2016, revised 5th Edition September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”), which can be found in the following website: www.worldbank.org/procurement and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from WaterFund during office hours 0900 to 1700 hours EAT excluding weekends and public holidays at the address below

5. The bidding document in English may be downloaded free of charge from the company’s website https://waterfund.go.ke/downloads/tenders. Bidders who download the bidding documents are required to notify the procuring entity by email with full contact details that they intend to participate, this will facilitate the issuance of notifications by the procuring entity, to all bidders where necessary.
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 19th September 2024 at 1200 Hours EAT. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 19th September 2024 at 1200 Hours EAT.
7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Kes. Three million (Kes. 3,000,000) for Lot 1 and Kes. Two million (Kes. 2,000,000) for Lot 2.
8. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
